Castoroides
By Peregrine Burgraff
R.I.P. pleistocene - late pleistocene
Castoroides, otherwise known as the giant beaver, died because of an inadequate food source and the Ice Age which killed his whole family too. He was related to Castoroides ohioensis, and Castoroides leiseyorum, their family was about the size of a black bear. He was not related to the common beaver. He lived on a beautiful shimmering lake in North America, and his days consisted of swimming through the clear, elegant water and eating the green grass along the shore.
