Bake Sale to Benefit Victims of the Camp Fire, 11/29

Girls on the Run is holding a bake sale outside the multi after school on Thursday, 11/29. All monies made will be donated to those impacted by the Camp Fire in Butte County. Please stop by, get a sweet treat and help our girls do something wonderful.

North Bay Animal Services Donation Drive This Week!

Mrs. Cratty’s second graders are having a donation drive for North Bay Animal Services. The animal shelter needs wet and dry dog and cat food such as Friskies. They also need paper towels, blankets, and cat litter. They have a Facebook page with a link to Amazon, so you can choose exactly what they need. Each classroom will have a container to place donations. Money or gift cards will be placed in an envelope. Make a difference and donate.

Grant Book Fair, 11/26-30 ( This Week!)

Just in time for the holidays... it's the Grant Book Fair! Come do some holiday shopping and give the gift of reading.

Dine & Donate Buffalo Wild Wings, 11/29

Come have a bite to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Target Shopping Center. Grab some classmates and watch some basketball with no less than 10 NBA games on the schedule or football...we're sure they'll have Dallas vs. New Orleans showing - and benefit Grant at the same time!

Grant Cares, 11/26-12/14

As the holidays approach, our Grant Community Cares Team is mindful that some of our Grant community could use some holiday cheer and assistance. We will be collecting items for some specific needs. It's a great way for our children to actively participate in the season of giving. The Grant “Giving Tree” will be in the office from 11/26-12/19. Please consider donating by taking an ornament with an item needed. Return the item with the ornament attached in the basket in the office by 12/19. Thank you for helping us bring holiday joy to members of our own Grant community!

Sees Candy Fundraiser, 11/26-12/10

You can help support our 6th-grade camp experience and enjoy delicious chocolate all the while! The 6th Grade See's Candy fundraiser begins November 26th and goes through December 10th.

Holiday Gift Shoppe 12/12, 13 & 14

The beloved Grant Holiday Gift Shoppe is back! The Shoppe will be open for business Wednesday, December 12th through Friday, December 14th. It's a wonderful way for children to join in the holiday fun by purchasing small gifts for their family and friends.

Let's Get Crafty, 12/7 7pm

Make some homemade holiday gifts for friends, family or yourself! Join us at this sign up party to benefit Grant. You'll visit 3 crafting stations while enjoying snacks, treats, bubbly and holiday cheer! Cost $65 and space is limited. See the Sign-up Party binder in the office.

Winter Music Share, 12/18

Please join us for a wonderful concert featuring our very own Grant students. The start time of this event will be determined by next week and announced in the newsletter.

Pop Choir, Mock Trail & Debate and Dino World Coming to Grant After-School Enrichment!

It's almost time for a new semester of Afterschool Enrichment classes. Come January, we will continue with many of our well-attended courses like piano, Spanish, Martial Arts and more...but we also have three exciting new offerings! Details to come, but here's a sneak preview of our new exciting classes:

Jurassic Dino World (1st -3rd Grade): Become a junior paleontologist by studying the most dominant species planet Earth has ever seen...the Dinosaurs! You will learn exciting information about dinosaurs and how they lived millions of years ago, as well as be a part of some exciting activities: excavating fossils from ancient Dino eggs, piecing together fossils to make complete dinosaur skeletons, solving Dinosaur puzzles, and much more.

Pop Star Choir Group (3rd-6th Grade) Do you like to sing? Let your inner performer shine as you become part of a musical ensemble! Pop Star Choir will explore some of your favorite pop songs in a group setting. Singers will learn to read some basic music notation as well as learn how to harmonize and enhance their musical, creative and expressive qualities as part of the Grant Pop Star Choir Group.

Debate/Mock Trial (4th -6th Grade): Debate/Mock Trial This exciting debate/public speaking class will give you a forum to learn how to express yourself freely and the skills to be the most effective communicator you can be through various debates and age-appropriate topics. Additionally, this class learns about the basic functions of the U.S. court system through 'mock trials' where students will role-play as lawyers, defendants, and judges.
