Message from Jeff and Yolanda
HAPPY NEW YEAR! The new year is a good time to reflect on the year gone by; of our successes and missed opportunities. The first half of the school year is now behind us and we can benefit from taking stock of what has happened thus far, and also put aside regretful events or actions that might hold us back from a good start to the New Year. It is a perfect time for you to log in to iObservation and review your deliberate practice plans. What are your professional growth goals? What have you been able to accomplish during the first semester? What work still needs to be done? What support do you need to help you accomplish your goals?
As we kick off the new year, there are three events for you to place on your calendar:
1. The Fly-In, Cruise-In will take place on February 4th at the Naples Airport. The committee has been hard at work planning the event and they are seeking volunteers for the 4th. If you are interested in volunteering email Belynda Williams. The Fly-In, Cruise -In is our annual scholarship fundraiser.
2. Lorenzo Walker has been selected as one of the schools which will be visited by the AdvanceEd accreditation team. Last year we started the self-study process, completed the narratives and collected the artifacts. You will be hearing more about the visit as the date approaches.
3. During the month of January we will have seven high schools who will be visiting our campus, Kicking off the visits will be Beacon on Friday, December 6th.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning at 8:00 in Mustang Alley where bagels and coffee will be served.
