A note from the Principal
Please send in additional masks with your child to keep in the classroom or lunchbox. We are finding that many students are needing a new mask after recess due to a variety of reasons and an extra mask in their lunchbox would be an easy solution! All students have recess and then move right into lunch.
Also, we are looking for teaching assistants for our special education department. If you know anyone who may be interested, or are interested yourself, please reach out to myself or Mr. Meismer. It's a fun and rewarding job where you are able to work with a team of teachers to support our students.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a fun week!
Looks for these upcoming events in the next month:
October 8th-Early Dismissal
October 11th-No School
Thanks!
Mrs. Stoffers
National Fine Arts Week
To celebrate, we are reading the story, The Dot, by Peter Reynolds in Art.
We are using our Dots, to inspire and learn about Abstract Art. We are using line, shape, and colors to explore and create.
National Hispanic Heritage Month
A Note from nurse randi
Attention kindergarten families,
The due date for kindergarten physicals, vaccination records, and eye exams is quickly approaching.
Physicals and updated vaccination records dated 08/18/2020 or after are due to the nurse’s office by October 15. Per the State of Illinois, any student that does not have this requirement completed will be excluded and not allowed to attend school until the documents are turned in and approved.
A vision exam performed by a licensed optometrist is also due for all kindergarten students by October 15.
Documents may be sent in with your student, emailed, faxed, or physically brought in to the nurse’s office. If you have not made an appointment for your student, please do so quickly as appointments often book quickly, as these are state-wide requirements.
Please contact Nurse Randi at (630) 636-2802 or rspinelli@sd308.org with any questions or concerns.
