Spelling Bee
Qualifying test for the Glenhope School Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 1:00 in our class as I require all of my students to take the test in order to find potentially shy spellers or students who may not have realized they are better spellers than they thought.
Finalists for the Glenhope School Spelling Bee will be determined from all students taking the pre-test.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
You can find information and study materials here.
THE PARADOX OF GRIT
We found the article (below) to be a great reminder about grit. It's not just important to teach children to persevere, to challenge themselves. The article suggests the need "to be more human and genuine instead of hiding behind the mask of toughness or professionalism." It's an important balance.
