Hello and Happy Summer!
I am excited to meet all of you in August; until then, please allow me to briefly introduce myself.
I have three children in the Lake Travis school district and am so glad to be part of the community as an employee of LTISD again. I began my Texas teaching career at Lake Travis High School as a World History teacher in 2004 and then moved to teach AP World History at Vandegrift High School in 2010. After six years in Leander ISD, I entered into administration in Hays CISD in 2016. There are so many wonderful people in LTISD that have made my transition back so seamless; thank you for the warm welcome!
As we prepare for a new school year, the faculty and I are looking forward to working with you and your students and helping them reach their goals. I truly believe that teachers and parents are a team and together we will work to make our students the best!
Below you will find some important dates. Please put these on your calendar and do not hesitate to reach out with any questions. We are here to help!
Best,
Rebecca Hudson
Principal
KNIGHT GAMES (6th Grade Student Event): Thursday, August 11th from 8:30 to 11:00 AM
This is a very special event just for 6th grade students to come and have some fun with their new teachers, meet new friends, and get a sneak peek at the campus before school starts. The event is run by our LTMS staff members and is designed to provide our new 6th graders with some great information about what to expect as a middle student. During this event, we will introduce them to new friends, participate in team-building games together, and spend some time getting a feel for becoming a Lake Travis Middle School student.
ROUND UP (Grades 6-8): Thursday, August 11th from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
All students and families are welcome to attend this event. Students will receive a digital copy of their schedule in Skyward on this day. Please understand that all schedules are tentative and subject to minor adjustments up until the first day of school.
Students and families may tour the building, visit the PTO booth, find their locker, and walk their class schedule. This is an important day for kids and parents to familiarize themselves with the building and meet the administration.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES
LTMS PTO School Supplies Fundraiser is now closed. If you ordered your student's supplies with us, the bulk items will ship directly to school this year, and the individual student supplies will ship to your home. The supplies should arrive within the 3-5 days leading up to the first day of school--sometimes they arrive ON the first day of school, so please don't panic. The first day is spent with teachers & students getting to know each other, figuring out schedules, lockers, etc., so just have your student bring their supplies when they do arrive. If you have ANY issues, please contact Sprouts School Supplies directly at: help@sproutsupplies.com
If you did NOT order supplies, but would like to still purchase a kit, there will be a limited amount for sale during RoundUp. Please come see the PTO team in Cafetorium to get a kit before we run out. If you would rather purchase the items on your own, you can find the supply lists on Sprouts website (http://www.sproutsupplies.com/supplykits) (Code: LTMS001)--we encourage you if ordering from Amazon, to set your Amazon Smile donation to LTMS PTO!!
Students are not required to bring your school supplies to RoundUp and can bring them on the first day of school. If students would rather place items in their locker during RoundUp, they are more than welcome to do so. Please make sure to dispose of the kit container/box, wrapping, etc. at home to help minimize trash at RoundUp.

Your Leadership and Counseling Team
While our campus leadership team works collaboratively with all students and teachers, the following information should help you reach the appropriate administrator or counselor for your child's grade level should a concern or question arise. We are committed to serving our students and appreciate the opportunity to work together with families to support our learners. Towards the start of the new school year, each counselor and assistant principal will be assigned new duties to individual grade levels, and we will share that information with families and students at that time. In the interim, please feel free to reach out to any member of our leadership team for assistance.
