Trace Singers
Trace Singers will begin this Tuesday morning at 7:15 in the music room.4th and 5th graders interested in participating in the Alabama Music Educators Honor Choir should pick up a form with details outside the music room. Auditions for this opportunity will be held on Thursday morning before school.

Scholastic Book Fair
August 26th - 30th
The Scholastic Book Fair will open at TCES beginning tomorrow, August 26th - 30th. We encourage you to visit the Book Fair during our Parent Night event this week! Students will have a chance to visit the book fair inside our school's library during the school day. This is a great way to encourage our students to begin/continue their love for reading!

Chromebook Parent Meeting
August 29th @ 5:30
Families who are new to Hoover City Schools and all 3rd grade parents are encouraged to attend the Chromebook presentation inside our school's cafeteria on August 29th at 5:30. All 3rd grade students and students new to Hoover City Schools will receive devices after the Labor Day holiday in September. The presentation will include information related to digital citizenship, internet safety, and digital resources for education.
TCES Parent Night

We invite and encourage all of our parents and guardians to visit our school on August 27th and August 29th for Parent Night. Parent Night on both nights will begin at 6:00 p.m. These events are specifically designed to be informative and helpful for the 2019 - 2020 school year. Classroom and grade level specific information will be shared. Teachers will provide a variety of resources and information related to student expectations, classroom procedures, field trips, and more. We hope you will attend!
Scantron Fall Administration
Students in grades 2nd - 5th will complete the fall administration of Scantron Performance Series beginning this week through the first week of September. Please see the dates listed below for your grade level. Please assist us in encouraging our students to do their best.

Fall 2019 Spirit Wear
If you are interested in ordering this year's Fall Spirit Wear, today is the last day to order. The spirit wear order deadline is August 25th. To place your order go to MySchoolFees at https://secure4.myschoolfees.com, click on “Registration” to find Spirit Wear order information. You can also send in cash/check to your student's teacher (exact amounts only, as teachers cannot give change)
