It's kindness week at the Home of Champions! I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for another awesome week. Google defines kindness as "the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate", something I'm sure we can all agree is much needed in today's society. A world full of kindness is definitely a better one, so do your part each day to make the Home of Champions a better place for all Spartans by being kind!

• Monday is Love of the Arts– wear any SCPA gear or rep your favorite form of the arts, like music t-shirts, band shirts, favorite artist, or more.
• Tuesday is Love of the Environment– wear green.
• Wednesday is Love of Friendships– twin day!
• Thursday is Self Love- show the love and wear pink or red.
• And Friday is Love of Sparta– wear blue or Spartan gear

A big thank you to our school counselors. I don't think it's just a coincidence that Kindness Week is also National School Counseling Week. Our team of counselors are dedicated to helping our students not only navigate through high school, but also to find their path towards college and/or careers. Spartans, if you have time this week, stop by the counseling center and give your our counselors a shout-out!

Congratulations to our Spartans who auditioned and made the District Honor Band. Out of the 81 members of the band, 23 of them were Spartans. Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to our Academic Decathlon Team for finishing in third place in this year's San Diego County Academic Decathlon. And also congratulations to all of the individual medal winners. Great work!

Spartan Students we invite you to join Chula Vista High School's After School Programs! All programs are available for FREE! You can also stop by and have some fun at the Vault located in the Youth Center. The Vault has pool, air hockey, foosball, PS4, Switch, arcade games and more!!!!! **EVERYTHING IS FREE!!!!!!!**

Our morning hours will be from 7:15-8:15 AM (students will need to enter through Youth Center entrance at 465 L Street).

Our afternoon hours will be from 3:39-5:30 PM every day. We are also open during 7th/8th period for those students who are unscheduled.
