News
Our annual State Testing takes place in April. It's important for our students to get a good nights rest before the test and have something to eat for breakfast that morning. We want our students to remember test taking strategies they have learned and to try their best. The results of these assessments help us work together as a building to continue to help our students become the best students they can be. Below is our testing schedule.
April 9th- PSAT 8 (8th Grade), PSAT 9 (9th Grade) , PSAT 10 (10th Grade) , and SAT (11th Grade) will take place.
7th graders and seniors do not report to school that day. Seniors should plan on a job shadow or college visit for that day.

Fundraising Opportunity
The Morrice Field Of Dreams team, along with Signature Ford of Perry, are hosting a Drive 4 UR School Community Event on Thursday, May 2nd, Noon to 6:30 pm. WE NEED YOU!!!
How it works: Valid drivers (18 years and older) drive 1 time around the school parking lot in a new Ford vehicle from Signature Ford of Perry. Fill out a questionnaire and grab some lunch on us! It’s super easy and literally only takes 15 minutes of your time. For each driver, the Field Of Dreams receives $20, up to $6,000, which will go toward a newly constructed George Mortimore Press Box. Unfortunately, we can only have 1 driver per address and we NEED NO LESS THAN 300 drivers!!! So, PLEASE share this with your friends, cousins, neighbors, in-laws, ex-in-laws, co-workers, the UPS driver and Schwan’s guy! ANYONE and EVERYONE IN MICHIGAN!!!! Each driver will be entered into a drawing to win 1 of several different prizes. Also, the Morrice student who has the most referred valid drivers will receive a new, crisp, $100 bill! Check out the flyer and mark your calendar. Let’s show Signature Ford, one more time, that Morrice is the best Drive 4UR School community in Shiawassee County!!! Go
Orioles!!!
Sincerely,
Robbin Larner

Health Class
Morrice HS health students created an informative display of the amount of sugar in what we drink. During their unit on nutrition, the student learned that there are four grams of sugar in a measured teaspoon. They applied this knowledge and measured the amount of sugar within their favorite drinks. The visual amount of sugar emphasized the unhealthy amounts of sugar in what we consume. The class is currently creating a display of healthy snack options to post in the cafeteria.
