WONDER WEDNESDAY - Wonder Wednesday has fresh new content for January all focused on different cultures and how they’re represented in our community and farther. We have some Sesame Street videos for children to learn from, books to listen to and a virtual dance performance! This is all located in our Wonder Wednesday virtual classroom here: Wonder Wednesday. Your children’s teacher may send them this link for additional content to enjoy on Wednesdays or you can share it with them whenever you feel the time is right.
We are excited to share a Virtual performance featuring the rhythm and dance of Accra, Ghana. Woshishifye - New Beginnings is an exciting and informative performance led and directed by Alexander Addy, an experienced instructor, professional dancer and accomplished percussionist. This program enables students to participate as they travel within the culture of Ghana. Students will experience the rhythms and sounds of over 15 uniquely different drums and many other instruments. This was graciously provided to us due to funding we received for a grant from Far West Recycling Arts.
Each month we’ll be featuring content including Art Literacy, Culture, and STEM. We would love to include other ideas from our community. If you have resources or have recently done something fun with your children, please share with us at NRCO1@hotmail.com! We would love to share more ideas and content.
