Our Student Club SCA is kicking off a Food Drive on Monday, to benefit Loudoun Hunger Relief! Our SCA students will be collecting items such as canned foods, cereal, granola bars, cooking oil, peanut butter, rice, pasta, shelf-stable milk, and soup. Collection boxes are located in the school lobby and each House. Please consider helping this effort that benefits our Loudoun County community!

CLEANING BASKETS: Families that receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits cannot use those funds to purchase laundry and household cleaning products, so these items are always in demand and so appreciated. As a team, our goal is to create 60 cleaning kits to distribute to our families. Please visit the wish list and consider a contribution! Items purchased are shipped directly to our Riverside PL, Susan Sabloff. If you have questions about this, please contact me.

THANKSGIVING MEAL KITS: Newton Lee Elementary School has hosted a Thanksgiving Meal program for many years, and they provide everything to prepare a complete Thanksgiving meal! This year they have offered to be the distribution point for all the families in our cluster - so families from Riverside, Belmont, Seldens and Weller will also be picking up a Thanksgiving meal kit from the Newton Lee location. Meal kits need to be dropped off at Newton Lee on Tuesday, November 23rd between 7:30AM & 11:00AM, and food will be distributed to families that same day. If you want to participate but will be traveling and unable to deliver a meal kit at the specified time, you can still participate! Contact Amy Dunne at Amy.Dunne@lcps.org, and she will help coordinate someone to shop for you. See the attached picture for all the items that go into making up each meal. Please note that when you sign up, you are committing to provide the entire meal as shown on the list.

Fall is finally here, along with chilly temps. If you have coats and jackets that you no longer need, please consider donating to our winter coat drive, happening now thru November 8! Items donated will be offered to those in the community who are in need of cold weather wear. Coat and jacket donations should be clean and in great condition. There is a box for donations in the Belmont Ridge lobby, and you are welcome to drop off your items during school hours. If you are unable to drop off during the school day, please contact me at Susan.Ferguson@lcps.org to make other arrangements. The school will be open from 9:00am to 3:00pm on Friday 10/29 which is a student holiday. THANK YOU!
