Language World 2017
Language World is the Association for Language Learning’s annual conference and CPD event offering a packed programme with speakers from across the languages sector attracting up to 250 participants a day. The theme this year will be Progress for ALL and there will be sessions on promoting progress in all aspects of pupils’ learning of languages, ensuring progression in curriculum planning, sustaining progress in curriculum leadership and celebrating progress in building a culture of language learning in a school.

Language Futures at Language World
Language Futures will also have a significant presence at Language World 2017.
On the Friday, there will be a Major Talk (Linguistic autonomy, in the end, is the only goal that matters) and a secondary focused session (Developing after-school languages provision as a serious strategy for increasing pupil motivation and uptake: the up and downs of the Language Futures approach) as well as a research poster session (Welcome to Language Futures).
The Saturday session will focus on primary (Opening the classroom door to parents and the community: How Language Futures can enhance provision and impact upon progress). There will also be a dedicated Language Futures stand in the exhibition offering additional information to interested schools.
