A Message from the Principal's Desk:
Greetings Kingsway Community,
Semester II is in full-swing, and many of the students are enjoying their new electives and appreciating a fresh academic start. My message to the students throughout the month has focused on being proactive, setting goals, and taking advantage of a clean academic slate to begin the semester. Please continue to reiterate that message at home as well.
I'm proud to report that over one hundred fifty of our students uploaded information to highlight key African Americans who helped to shape this great nation via our school-wide Black History Month Flipgrid. Additionally, 210 students qualified to be part of our Renaissance Program. These students have excelled in the classroom while at the same time displaying exemplary character and participating in community service. Each was treated to a celebration, a complimentary T-shirt, and all the perks that go along with the program (homework passes, quiz exemptions, cell phone at lunch privileges....).
The month of March includes a Spirit Week where our Student Council will facilitate and promote some friendly 7th vs. 8th grade competitions. We will be promoting the idea of giving back to our community in the form of encouraging students to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. Finally, we will be focusing on the character trait of Responsibility through our #1DragonFamily initiative.

We want to congratulate our students for all of their hard work, and we wish them great success in semester II.
9:30 Start Time: Beginning on the week of February 22nd, when working from home, students should log in at 9:30 in order to hear our daily announcements over the loud speaker; this will continue to help with the dissemination of information while helping to connect all of our student to KRMS.
7th Grade Chromebooks: At this point ALL 7th grade students should have a school-issued Chromebook. The students are required to bring and use their school-issued Chromebook when coming to school. If at home, students may use either the school-issued Chromebook or their own device.
