Why Should Your Child Write?
to learn.
Two Sides of the Same Coin
As a reader, your student's job is to make sense of what he or she reads. A writer's job is to themselves sensible to the reader. Similarly, people who write well are more likely to be readers.
Learning and Thinking
When your student writes BEFORE reading he or she learns to think about what's about to be read.
When your student write AFTER reading he or she will be better able to understand what has been read.
In short, writing makes you think!
