Camp Read In
We are excited for Camp Read In next month!
This year we are privileged to have author, Gary Spack, and illustrator Beth Lynch come to our event! They will be sharing ideas for budding authors and illustrators as well as signing books! If you are interested in purchasing a book beforehand, please follow this link for an order form. Order forms will also be available in the classrooms. The deadline for ordering is February 13th. Thank you for supporting our local authors!
Just to refresh your memory, Camp Read In takes place at our Wrightstown Campsite (also known as the cafeteria) and is a chance for parents and children to come together to have fun reading in tents, playing reading games, solving a Dr. Seuss escape room, eating indoor s’mores, and more! SO please keep the date open - Thursday, March 2nd from 6:30 - 7:45. ALSO, if you have a tent that you would like to lend us for the night and/or if you are interested in assisting with setting up the tents, please reach out to Mrs. Etgen at petgen@crsd.org. Thank you in advance for your help!!

Free Breakfast Program
A message went out from the school district this week with information about the free breakfast program. Council Rock will begin offering free breakfast to all enrolled students at the elementary and middle school levels starting Monday, October 3rd through the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
What you need to know:
- No sign-up is required.
- Daily breakfast menus will be available on our menus website.
- Students enter their lunch ID number and get breakfast in the cafeteria upon arrival at school.
- Breakfast will be pre-bagged and have an optional milk and fruit selection.
The protocol for WES will be that children may pick up the bagged breakfast in the cafeteria upon arrival to school on their way to their homeroom. Students will use their lunch ID when picking up the breakfast, and then they will eat in their homeroom. Issues may arise with disruptions to our morning classroom routines or creating excessive messes in classes. We will address these needs as we begin the program, and, if needed, we will make changes as to where the students will eat their breakfast. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions.
