SOL Testing

We are currently in our SOL Testing window. Our main testing window will last through May 26th. Additionally, make-ups and retakes will occur through early June. During SOL testing, we work diligently to maintain a secure and favorable testing environment to allow our students to focus and do their best.

We are respectfully asking that you refrain from visiting during the lunch period until after May 26th. We are happy to welcome you back to enjoy lunch with your children beginning on May 30th.

Thank you for ensuring that your children are on time, get a good night's rest and are ready to show off their great learning on the SOL Tests!

We hope you know how much we appreciate your continued support this year!

KCES Parent Input for Student Placement 2023-2024

Class placement is a collaborative process that involves school adminstration and classroom teachers. In addition, input from instructional specialists such as reading specialist, special education and gifted teachers is also considered when class assignments are made for the coming year.

Although parents can be confident that each child's individual needs will be adequately represented by the teachers' recommendations to the adminstrators, we know that parents also have important information to share about their child. Parents who would like to provide this information may do so by completing this form no later than June 2, 2023.
