Elementary School Science Leaders Meeting

Description. The long term goal of this group will be to create a curriculum that addresses the Next Generation Science Standards in their entirety or provides you with supplemental material to add rigor and options to what you have in place already.
Middle School Science Leaders Meeting

Description. To ensure successful transition and implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in all Genesee County classrooms, building county-wide leadership capacity is essential.
Chemistry Teachers Workshop
February 5th, 2020
Description. This includes physical science teacher who may have a semester that is an introduction to chemistry and STEM specialists. The agenda will focus on aligning NGSS standards to what you are covering in class.
Biological Sciences Teachers Workshop
June 1st, 2020
This meeting is for those who teach biology based classes. This includes honors biology, AP biology, anatomy and physiology, and forensics. We will continue to brainstorm on effective methods of inquiry in order to create student centered lessons. This is an opportunity for you to collaborate with colleagues from other schools. The goal will be to hear and adapt new ideas in designing your curriculum.
Physics Teachers Workshop

Description. We will look at the NGSS standards, see if they align to what you are teaching in class, and brainstorm on effective methods of inquiry in order to create student centered lessons.
