Children are not things to be molded but gifts to be unfolded - Jess Lair
This week we will be seeing several visitors in the building. We have our first Admissions Info session of the year this Thursday, 8.45 - 11.15 am. Please welcome the prospective parents as they walk down the hallways and visit your rooms. Our visitors are always so impressed by the evidence of student learning on the walls. Please make sure classrooms are clean, displays neatly representing student learning and hallways clear of any clutter. Thank you everyone for your help and support.
Parent conferences will also begin next week. Thank you to all our specialist teachers who will be providing some cover for our class teachers during these busy weeks. All conference checklists will need to be sent to Bo in one document later.
The main points of a conversation during parent conferences need to be documented and please remember to share document notes with administrators. Thank you in advance for all your preparation, time and tremendous efforts. It is hugely appreciated by our parents.
The mentoring programme will be beginning soon and you will be receiving an email from Ed as well. You may have some students in mind who may benefit socially/emotionally or academically from working with an older student. Please discuss the possibility with families if you think it might be a good step for the student's growth. Here are the links to the forms.

Thank you 3rd/4th grade team, Elizabeth and Sergio for a successful trip to Fairview Lake. I am sure the students have returned with memories of very happy and fun times. Thank you for all your efforts, time and attentive care.
Enjoy the pictures below reflecting the ongoing learning that continues at school, of which you should be very proud. Please find below two articles about behaviour management which are thought provoking and can be applied to a range of situations.
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and the week ahead!
