The Monarch Award Program is Wrapping Up
K-3 teachers, please take this time to finish reading the twenty Monarch books to your students. After you finish, we’ll take your class picture and each student will select a cheesy prize. Call/e-mail us to set up a time for the pic and prize selection.
Monarch Voting
Monarch voting will take place the week of 2/16 for classrooms that have read at least five of this year's Monarch books.
- Voting slips will be placed in your mailboxes.
Bluestem Award Program Ending Soon...
Your students can keep reading and earning cheesy prizes. However, Battle of the Books teams* will be announced on March 11.
Drop-in voting for students who have read at least four of the current year’s Bluestem books will take place on March 4 between 8:05 and 11:00 a.m. I will put a list of eligible students in your boxes at the end of February.
*Have you ever wondered how we will select students to participate on a team for Battle of the Books in April? It goes strictly by how many Bluestem books they read. We take the top 12 Bluestem readers from each grade level. In the case of a tie, we will draw a name.
