Quist Weekly News
April 15, 2022
Dear ROYALS Families,
We are looking forward to a successful first all-school in-person dance at Quist tonight. HUGE thanks to our WEB program and all that have come together to make this possible. You could feel the excitement thrhout the school today.
Thank you to our families for their patience and understanding today, as we had an overwhelming amount of families checking students out and getting prepared, in addition to our typical traffic. We apologize if you experienced delays when attempting to contact our office or while checking your student out or conducting normal business.
We are nearly completed with CMAS testing and will return to our normal schedules next week while conducting makeup testing.
Staff is working on updating mid-term grades throughout next week. Please be sure to check your student(s) progress in Infinite Campus, and reach out if you have any questions.
May 2nd - 6th is Teacher Appreciation Week, our PAC is planning a Popcorn Bar to show appreciation for all that our teachers do. They are currently looking for various donations, if you would like to contribute, please click here for the Signup Genius.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Have a great weekend!

Soccer/Track:
All matches/meets have been added to our school website - please check there for schedules of events.
Locks & lockers were checked out to athletes who wanted them this week. Lockers are optional and if a lock is not returned, a $5 fine will be assessed at the end of the season.
If you want to receive text updates from me/coaches, we will use the Remind App. Here is the link for soccer; here is the link for track.
Parent Volunteers - Track has a heavy volunteer need - please use this link to sign up. We need up to 12 volunteers for each meet! Thank you for considering helping to create these awesome contests for our athletes.
Soccer Referees - Please contact me if you have experience as a soccer referee. I will put you in contact with our contractor, Mile High Officials.
Practice continues this week. Next contest for soccer is April 19 vs OTMS (Boys are home, girls are away). Next contest for track is April 20 vs Vikan @ Riverdale Ridge HS track. Our entire schedule is on our school website and contests start @ 5:00 p.m.
Meetings for families was scheduled for Tuesday, April 5, 5:45 - 6:15 @ Quist. Here is a link to the slides if you were unable to attend.
If you are interested in helping organize our end-of-season celebration, please email me (cbrown@sd27j.net.) I need help organizing donations from families and printing certificates/awards for athletes.
All Sports:
Pictures have been scheduled - track will be April 8 and Soccer will be April 22. (This is a change!!) Here is the link to order photos for track and here is the link to order photos for soccer. You can order when pictures are taken OR before the end of the season.
Please check IC for fees that need to be paid. All fees must be paid before participation in contests can happen. Please bring payment (cash or check) to the RQMS main office. Please contact Kate Brown if you have questions.
Athletes must have a current physical submitted (FamilyID or brought to RQMS office) before any participation in either practice or contests can happen.
Eligibility is pulled on Thursdays and shared with athletes during practices on Fridays. Families are encouraged to check IC on Fridays to confirm eligibility. Coaches ask athletes to be responsible and report their status to families. If an athlete is not eligible, this impacts next week's games. In order to become eligible, the athlete needs to complete an Eligibility Rubric (here is the link) AND improve the grade in the classes with D or F grades. 2 or more Ds or 1 F is considered ineligible. Additionally, an athlete could be ineligible if they are not showing RISE/ROAR behaviors in their classes. If there are concerns, teachers will communicate with families about what is happening and coaching will be provided to show improvement. Rubrics are also available in the office and from coaches.
Thank you for all your support and grace! We are so excited to offer sports programming to all our students this year.
