Industry-Recognized Credentials 101
During the morning session, staff from the MCESC Career Counseling Department will dive into the world of industry-recognized credentials that can be offered in your home school.
We will review multiple credentialing opportunities and how they can be added to your existing courses or added as a new program.
The areas that will covered in this session will include:
- Benefits of implementing IRCs
- Staff and student buy-in
- Student recruitment
- Viable credentialing programs to implement at the home school
- Discuss existing courses where IRCs could be implemented
- Pre-apprenticeships
- Tracking student data - OMJ Graduation Seals, Prepared for Success, Graduation requirements.
- Developing community connections through your Business Advisory Council
This will be a virtual synchronous experience via Zoom.
Workshop Details:
Suggested Audience: A team including - HS Principal, Career Coach, Curriculum Director, School Counselor and/or Teacher(s). Superintendents and BAC members are also invited to attend.

This session is FREE for all staff members from NPESC's member districts. Cost for teams of 5 from non-member districts will be $200 per team or $50 per person if less than 5 are enrolling payable to NPESC one week prior to the workshop.
