Welcome To ECEC!

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year at the Lincoln County R-III Early Childhood Education Center. For many of our students, this is their first school experience and for others it marks the return to ECEC. The first day of preschool is full of mixed emotions for both parents and students. Rest assured that our staff will form a partnership with you to ensure that your child has the best possible school experience every day.

Parents/guardians can expect clear and open communication from ECEC. You can look forward to school wide monthly newsletters, monthly classroom newsletters, parent/teacher conferences each semester, emails, family fun nights, daily communication folders, quarterly objective based report cards and updates on our Facebook page. I extend an invitation to you, as your child’s first and most important teacher, to be involved in your child’s preschool experience at ECEC. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need assistance.

Sincerely,

Kelly Groeber

PTO

The first PTO meeting will be Sept. 7th at 4:30pm in the Conference room at the Early Childhood Education Center.

We are looking for parent volunteers and PTO officers for the 17-18 school year. Please attend the first meeting for more information. Our ECEC PTO is dependent on parent volunteers. Thank you in advance for attending and helping out this school year.

From the Nurse...

If your child has an allergy, asthma, or suffers from seizures, please make sure to have a completed action plan on file. Feel free to contact me with any medical concerns in regards to your child. I look forward to a successful year with our students.
Nurse Tammy

Character Connection

The Character Trait for August is Enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is putting your whole heart into every task no matter how big or small. Celebrate your child's accomplishments and it will set excitement and enthusiasm for the next task! Enthusiasm is contagious too! Your energy and smile can trigger enthusiasm in those around you. Talk about school with enthusiasm and share in your child's excitement about their day!

Play Group at ECEC

EVERYONE IS INVITED!!! There is a "playgroup" of Mom's with children under 5 who meet here at ECEC on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9:15am. If the weather is nice, they play on the playground. During the winter months, they play in the multipurpose room. Everyone is welcome to attend however, the ECEC office does not plan, coordinate, organize, or supervise this event. It is strictly ran by the Mom's who attend. You do not need to attend each time, just whatever works into your schedule. This is a great way to have your little ones play with other kids and Mom's to have some time to talk with other Mom's (or Dad's-they are invited too)!

Mason's Message

We are very sad but Mason has gone to another placement that needed him more. He will be greatly missed.
