REGISTRATION INFORMATION FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR
6th and 7th grade students received their course planning sheets for the 2018-2019 school year at a grade level presentation on Wednesday during club! This planning sheet gives all of the potential elective offerings for next year. We have asked parents/guardians to please take some time to discuss these with their child(ren) via our Parent Howler Hub and in our weekly school messenger call. During the first two weeks of February, students will be registering online for 18-19 courses in their Language Arts classes. All course planning sheets and applications will be uploaded onto our school website over the next week. Click here to check out current information. Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 will be having their course planning meetings over the next two Wednesdays, with 8th and 10 graders having meetings on January 17th, and 9th and 11th graders having their grade level meetings on January 24th.

National Guard Available to speak to your class
Teachers - Our representatives from the National Guard are available to make content or career-related presentations in your classes. Please contact Jen Larimore if you are interested with preferred dates and topics.
Assistant Principal Admin-Intern Program
Assistant Principal Admin-Intern Program: Application Deadline February 2nd.
The Assistant Principal Administrative Intern program application window is now open and is open to applicants through February 2nd, 2018. The application and principal recommendation form need to be submitted to Rhonda Henley by email.
This program offers a unique opportunity for those interested in obtaining an Educational Leadership Master’s Degree to engage in a high quality administrative internship at a participating school in Pasco County. Instructional staff selected to participate in this program will be placed on a one-year leave, which will secure their instructional positions. In addition, they will be paid a salary commensurate to their teacher salary for the 2017-2018 school year.
NEW for 2018-2019 school year- Potential candidates for this program must provide evidence that they are currently working on or will be working on obtaining an Educational Leadership Master’s Degree with an anticipated graduation date by December 2019 or earlier. This program is designed for candidates that have not yet earned their degree. There is no requirement of a particular university that the candidate must attend to earn the degree.

Upcoming New Teacher Training: Registration Deadline: February 2, 2018
We are now approaching the third round of professional development for our New Teacher program. Any new teacher in year 1 or year 2 of their teaching career may sign up to attend, even if they did not attend any other new teacher trainings earlier this year. Please Click Here for the session details. Teachers will need to select one of the sessions to attend. After the registration deadline, further details regarding location will be sent to all participants.

Next Tuesday morning, 1/23/18 is an emergency bus evacuation drill and we need your help!
In order to expedite this process, any staff member that does not have a morning duty please meet in front of the cafeteria at 6:45 am. Please bring your cell phone with you to serve as a stop watch. In an effort to show our appreciation of your efforts the following rewards are available for those able to help:

Florida’s annual Celebrate Literacy Week Florida is January 22-26th. Teachers please participate in the following events with your students to get them excited about reading. Those staff members that participate in the daily events can wear jeans. Please include @PascoLiteracy in your tweets.
