Friday May 15, 2020

Hello, Mustangs!!! It has been great dropping in on virtual classes and seeing our sweet Mustangs!!! Their smiles and eagerness are great reminders of why we do what we do as educators...even if through distance learning!!!

Next week is our last week for distance learning. Brace up and smile! There is light at the end of the tunnel! Our team effort in continuing learning and practicing skills is truly commendable. Thank you all for supporting us through this experience!

I truly miss our students but know that safety is the priority! Please continue to reach out. Also, please do contact us for registration packets for 5K students or new to 1st grade.

Have a great weekend!

Yours truly,

Jan Fickling

Schedule of Events:

Tuesday, May 19 -- School Board Meeting

Friday, May 22 -- Last day for distance learning

Monday, May 25 -- Memorial Day

Wednesday, May 27 -- 10:00-11:30

Final Drop Off Day and Wave Parade

Teachers will socially distance and line the drives! Drop off carts will be at the ends of each loop. You will stay in the car, wave, and drop off school books, library books, packets, etc., at the designated spots! This is to be a special time for students, teachers, and staff to see each other!

Thursday, May 28 -- 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Fifth Grade Farewell Parade

Fifth grade teachers will share details with their parents and students.

Friday, June 5 -- Report Cards will be mailed.

5K and New to 1st Grade Registration

Please remember that we are accepting registration for 5-year Kindergarten and new to Midway 1st graders. Please email Kelley Waslewski at and she will send you the registration packet. This is very important to get these students enrolled as this is how the number of teachers is determined. We want to be ready for August! Also, spread the word to your new neighbors!

Spread the word to all former Mustangs from the class of 2020!

Yearbook Orders Open Online Again!!

Parents, yearbooks will not be here until the end of May. At this time we will notify you of pickup day and times. After we issue the ordered yearbooks, we will design a process to sell the extra yearbooks, first come first served. This process will be shared later.
