SIG at Columbia
News and views from SIG's 1st session at Columbia University
Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends,
Hello from the close of Week 2! We've just returned from a thrill-filled day at Six Flags, and counselor groups are currently settled in and watching movies. Before enjoying a selection of photos taken over the past few days, we at Columbia want to invite you to several events:
1) The Student Talent Show, this coming Sunday, July 13 at 7 PM in the Lerner Party Space (the same room parent orientation was held in). I have been working with the students as they prepare their acts, and I am quite honestly blown away by the high level these students are performing at.
2) The Student Performance Showcase, on Thursday, July 17 at 7 PM in the Lerner Party Room. This will be a showcase of classes as diverse as Digital Photography, Fencing, and Comedic Improv.
3) Our Final Program, on Friday, July 18 at 4:45 PM in the Lerner Cinema. We will be watching a final slide show, hearing from several student speakers, and handing out certificates to celebrate the end of a successful session of SIG.
Please enjoy the photos below, and we'll be in touch soon!
All the best,
Jon Fuller
Student Activities Coordinator

Students ready for the next challenge to be announced.
Minute to Win It
One challenge involved getting an Oreo cookie from the forehead to the mouth, using only facial muscles.
The Middle boys are always willing to lend a helping hand.
Just Hanging 'Round
There's nothing like a movie night pajama party after a long day at an amusement park.
When the weather gets wet, the picnic moves inside!
