Nutrition Parent Survey DUE Today!
District 39 is committed to providing a school environment that promotes healthy lifestyles, including good nutrition. The school lunch program is intended to serve students well-balanced lunches. Therefore, lunch menus are designed to expose students to foods that will positively impact their lifelong food choices. As part of our strategic plan, a Nutrition Committee has been created this year to review the school lunch program in order to assess and reflect on current practices.
The first step in our review process is to conduct a survey of parents/guardians. Please complete the survey by December 7th by clicking on the link above. The survey should take approximately 5 minutes.

Junior Great Books: Help your child build a positive relationship with books! Junior Great Books is a great way to spark your child's interest in literature and thoughtful discussion. Each week, a story is chosen for the group. Students read the story at home, either independently or with an adult, then come to their weekly meeting to discuss and do a craft or project with other kids from their grade. Junior Great Books makes it possible for all children, regardless of their reading level, to contribute with confidence and learn from one another. Groups will meet once a week for 8 weeks (January-March) during lunch/recess and your child will need to bring a nut-free lunch from home that day. Sign up today!
Contact Courtney Radde with any questions.
