Use Your Hands!
Today at Mass, our students learned how special our hands are. They can be used to help someone up, encourage another with a high-five, remind a friend with a tap on the shoulder, rub a friend's back when they are sad, and cheer for a friend when they succeed. We'll continue to encourage our students to use their hands for good.
7th Grade Celebrates Mass and their teacher, Mrs. Payne, our Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations to Mrs. Payne, our Teacher of the Year! She was voted, among her peers, as our school's nominee. She has a deep passion for science and encourages students to make mistakes and learn from them. On September 22nd, Mrs. Payne will be honored at the Archbishop's Dinner.
Meet me in the Parking Lot
On September the 9th, we need your help for parking lot duty during the Salsa Fiesta. From 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., we need volunteers to help "man the gate" to collect money for parking lot spaces. We'll take this opportunity to sell bottled water, too. Please let your homeroom parent (or teacher) know if you would be available to help for an hour!
Elementary Sports Sign-Up
Grades 3-4 may sign-up for volleyball. Registration ends Monday, September 4th.
Grades 1-4 may sign-up for track and golf!

Promise for the Future 5K Run/Walk
On Tuesday, our school held a pep rally, led by the St. Pius Development Officer, Mr. Turcotte, to get pumped about the Archdiocese Promise for the Future 5K Run/Walk. The students learned a new "roller-coaster" cheer (ask your child to show you!) and received information on how to sign-up for the run. I challenged all of our students to "Beat Mrs. Powledge" for the race. Let's show our T-I-G-E-R spirit and run/walk for our Catholic Schools.
Students can sign-up with the sheet that was sent home or online with the link provided above.
