The Winter Esports Season is fast approaching! This mini-season will be different from most others - the regular season will only be three weeks long, but you can play multiple times each week! You can preview the games and details here: https://www.highschoolesportsleague.com/winter-challenge. Tournament winners will earn up to $500 in scholarships each!
Interested in competing? Save the dates for our winter season informational meetings:
- Returning members who have participated in HSEL before: Thursday, January 14th, 3pm, virtually. See canvas or discord for the link!
- New members who are considering participating in HSEL for the first time: Tuesday and Thursday, January 19th and 21st, 3pm after school, in room 503. Come whichever day you are in school for hybrid.
If you cannot attend your meeting, all information will be posted on our canvas page shortly thereafter. We will discuss the season's structure, any notable changes to the games/rules, club rules, and season dues.
By the way - In addition to the many popular video game titles, the winter esports season will also include an online chess tournament!

Enrollment Reminder Letters –
Each fall semester, we send letters to students who enrolled in a fall course that has a subsequent spring course. (Example: History to 1877 in the fall and History since 1877 in the spring.) These recommendations are to alert the student that a sequential spring course may be available. Students are advised to contact their high school counselor or teacher for more information.
Spring College Now enrollment will begin on Jan 19!
Career-Ready Dual Degree Program
Through the Dual Degree partnership with Johnson County Community College (JCCC), high school juniors and seniors can work toward earning their high school diploma and associate degree simultaneously. The program provides students the opportunity to attend JCCC full-time, receive dual credit for their coursework and take an average of 15 credit hours each semester at no cost to the student. Careful course selection and ongoing communication with counselors at both JCCC and the student’s home high school is necessary to ensure coursework is aligned to achieving these simultaneous credentials.
