From the Nest...
Happy New Year to you and your family! As we move into the new year and begin the second half of the school year, we are helping students recharge and stay "On target for a great year!" This week and next, we are meeting with each grade level to reestablish our SOAR expectations related to behaviors and academic work. Knowing that January is a time that students traditionally "take off" and make jumps, we will be recognizing students who are consistently and daily putting forth effort, persevering, and doing their best to improve their performance and behavior.
It appears that cold weather is finally headed our way. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. This includes a coat, hat, and gloves as students will be going outside for recess, weather permitting. Also, please take the time to label your child's belongings. Our lost and found fills up quickly and we would like to return items to their owners when they aren't claimed immediately. Thank you for your help.
Warm regards,
Lisa Wrzesinski and Kathy Prichard

Attendance Updates
Our goal is 96% attendance or better. The calendar is color-coded for your ease of reference:
- 96% or higher = green
- 93.1% - 95.9% = yellow
- under 93% = red
We thank you for supporting us in meeting our attendance goals by ensuring students are coming to school on time and every day that they are able to!
Dismissal Change Procedures
New this year, students must be picked up by 3:00 pm if you would like them through the front office. After that time, you will need to get into the Car Rider line to pick up your child. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring our dismissal process is as smooth as possible.
