Job Description
Air Hostess are members of an aircrew employed by airlines primarily to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers aboard commercial flights or on select business jet aircraft's. During flights they serve and clear away meals and refreshments, and cater to the needs of passengers requiring special attention such as unaccompanied children. Air Hostess fly to various locations around the State, country and overseas.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
There are no standard requirements needed to become a flight attendant. However, your chances of finding employment may be improved if you have gained adequate experience in the Hospitality/Customer service industry. The major airlines usually look for applicants who have gained their WACE at Stages 2 and 3 combined with the successful undertaking of written and practical exams, and behavioural assessments. On employment, flight attendants undertake in-house training, prior to flying. All people working in the airline industry must satisfy security clearance requirements.

Type Of Income
According to industry, travel attendants, which include flight attendants, can expect to earn a salary of approximately $1100 per week (full-time and before tax), depending on their level of experience and the organisation they work for.

You will be able to travel to different countries. You get an opportunity to cater for a wide range of people which improves your social skills. I personally enjoy being on flights and having the experience of working as a team to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers is a good initiative.
Additional Information
Air Hostess' need to be familiar with the emergency equipment on the aircraft that they work on. They work with in-flight food preparation equipment and also need to be familiar with the layout of aircraft.
