Wolf Creek Weekly
Building Pathways To Success
From The Principal's Desk October 4, 2020
Greetings!
Happy Sunday!
IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT...IMPORTANT
We will be heading into Phase 4 this week. We were happy to see the smiling WOLVES as they entered the building last week. Our Wolves did an awesome job!
Students will return to school 2 days this week. Be sure you have checked your child's reporting days. Group 1 and Group 3 have been combined and report Monday and Thursday. Group 2 and Group 4 have been combined and report on Tuesday and Friday. Group assignments have not changed. Students assigned to Group 2 during Phase 3 are Group 2 during Phase 4. We will not change our current URL Master schedule at any grade levels at this time; only make minor adjustments as needed. Teachers will continue to facilitate Simultaneous Instruction. Teachers will provide instruction for both face to face and remote students simultaneously. This includes our Specialist teachers also. Teachers and service providers within our Exceptional Children’s Department should follow the instructional schedule already communicated by the Special Education’s Department.

A huge thanks to parents for completing the return to school survey. We had a total of 729 parents to respond! There is still time for the remaining 64 to respond. This Face to Face Phase is still optional for parents at this time. Let us know if changes need to be made to your selection as soon as possible.
The district dates for the phases are:
October 5th Phase 4
October 13th Full Face To Face
See the Reopening Matrix included this newsletter.
Each assigned day will be held from 7:40 AM - 2:20 PM. We will run a full day schedule for the students assigned on the specific day. Students at home will receive instruction virtually as they have been previously. Students will be provided breakfast and lunch each day. Bus transportation is posted.
Car Rider Arrival and Pick-up Health and Safety:
Thanks so much for your support. Staff members are reminded about health and safety precautions when opening doors during drop off and pick. Please help us by assisting your child with exiting and entering vehicles during this time. Be sure to roll your window down so that you can hear staff members provide guidance to students during morning arrival.
IMPORTANT It is important that each parent register for your Infinite Campus Parent Portal Account. Please register as soon as possible. This will be important for access to daily lessons with teachers via your child's Classlink account. All students have a Classlink account and it is a one stop shop for all instructional sessions. Students previously enrolled have access now, this did not change. New students will be provided steps to log on by their teachers during Open House.
Are you registered for your Parent Portal Account? If not, please register. Everything you need as a parent is in the parent portal account. You are able to monitor your student's grades throughout the school year, review your child's schedule, pull report cards, update your contact information, register other students within your household, and so much more! Please click the link provided to register.

*Please note, if you DO NOT have an email address on file, you will be unable to register via the provided link. Please call the school and ask for our Data Clerk, Ms. Lyles.

Helping Kids Cope
As we begin to phase students back into the building full-time, please know that some of our scholars may have a difficult time adjusting or need support. To provide additional support to our students, the Wolf Creek Counseling Department and Odyssey Family Counseling will host small groups focusing on coping skills, while covering issues such as anxiety, stress, anger management and grief & loss. Students will learn specific tools and strategies to help them navigate through these difficult experiences
All small groups will be offered throughout the school year. If you feel your child may benefit from participating in this support group, please contact me directly at searcys1@fultonschools.org or via phone (470)-254-2775 for more information.
