School Counseling Department

The Counseling Department looks forward to the start of a new school year! We enthusiastically await the return of our upperclassmen and welcome the arrival of the Class of 2023. As all students prepare for the first day, we'd like to share a few important reminders about scheduling:

  • Student schedules will be accessible via Home Access Center the week of August 26th.
  • Students may make requests to add / drop elective courses from Tuesday, September 3rd through Friday, September 6th. All requests for elective changes must be submitted, via email, by 2:25 p.m. on Friday, September 6th.
  • Please only submit requests for genuine elective changes. Counselors cannot consider requests for changes in teacher assignment or course sections. Also, please note that all requests to change courses were due on May 10th and waiver requests were due on August 2nd.

Seniors: A reminder that Graduation Project Part A must be submitted, via email, to both the assigned mentor and school counselor by the end of the day on August 30, 2019. Senior interviews will take place two weeks later, on Friday, September 13th. Successful completion of this project is a key factor in determining eligibility for CAPS in May, 2020.
