As part of the Corron traditions, each year the current principal writes a letter for the front of the school yearbook. This year, I’d like to include other community members in my letter. Kindergarten registration has begun for the 2020-2021 school year. Corron’s website is conveniently linked to all of the incoming kindergarten registration forms. This site will give you access to all the forms necessary for registering your child. This has been very helpful to expedite the registration process and has been well received by parents! Many of these forms have been updated with additional verification of residency required. Please pass this information on to any incoming kindergarten families that are in your neighborhood. Below is the link to some Kindergarten FAQ.

LRC Volunteers Needed

Do you like books and have a couple of hours to spare every week? The LRC is in need of a few good volunteers to shelve books and assist students in finding and checking out books. If you can spare a bit of time and are interested, please contact Karen McVicar in the LRC at Karen.McVicar@d303.org. Thank You!

Hello Corron Families! We are excited to partner up with Corron Elementry again this year for our just shave it event for Cal’s Ángels. March 14th at St. Charles North High School. Two ways to sign up, you can either be a shavee, meaning you can get an awesome buz cut for a great cause and raise money. Second way is to donate hair and raise money for a great cause. Who can sign up? Any!! You can make it a family affair or go solo. What do you have to do to be on the Corron Coyotes team? Register with the link provided. Corron and Cals Angels will be honoring Ella Joy, Corron Coyote student at the event and at Corron. Here is a little update on Ms. Ella Joy’s battle with cancer:

We appreciate and thank you so much for all your continual thoughts & prayers for Ella Joy. She is treasuring every moment of her second year back to school post transplant.

Ella Joy enjoys playing the viola, indulging in fettuccine Alfredo from Maggianos, hanging out with Asaph her brother, and playing family games like 5 Crowns, Monopoly Deal & Mah jongg. And of course she loves her collection of squishies & all things soft & cuddly

Soon, we will be having a lot of appointments with endocrinology as she battles the side effects of high dose chemotherapy, total body irradiation, cranial radiation, and bone marrow transplant. Please pray for Ella Joy’s medical team at Luries to have wisdom & discernment as we decide the plan for her treatment as she turns 11 this year.

As always, it is our greatest hope that all cancer cells in Ella Joy’s body would be eradicated forever with no trace amounts hiding in her bone marrow or spinal fluid.

Middle School Intra-District Transfer Form

Middle School Transfer Requests

Families who wish to submit Middle School Transfer requests may do so beginning February 3. The request form will be available on the District 303 website through February 28. Families must complete a separate form for each student they want transferred. Requests are granted based on space available so siblings are not guaranteed placement. A written decision will be communicated to families before spring break.

Once the request is approved, a student may remain at that middle school throughout his or her middle school career, as long as the student resides in District 303.

Families of students granted permission to attend a school outside of their assigned attendance are responsible for their own transportation.

Students will return to their assigned attendance area high school regardless of the middle school attended.
