January Marks School Board Recognition Month!
This month, Argyle ISD is joining districts across the state in recognizing its Board of Trustees. These elected officials volunteer their time to serve the students, staff, families and the Argyle ISD community. Argyle ISD is celebrating its Trustees this month and will formally recognize the Board at the Tuesday, Jan. 17 regular Board meeting.
This year's theme is - Forward, Together. This highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers and parents on behalf of students. Board members serve three-year terms and we are grateful for their leadership, oversight, goal-setting and decision-making.
For more information about the Trustees, visit ArgyleISD.com. The Board meets once per month and all meetings are live-streamed.

"Wright Stuff" Award Winner...South ES Teacher Lisa Schreck!
Just before the winter break, Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright and district administration surprised an Argyle South Elementary teacher!
Early Childhood Special Education teacher Lisa Schreck was the first-ever winner of the "Wright Stuff" award. This recognition is named after Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright and recognizes a staff member who exemplifies the characteristics of...Kindness, Integrity, Resiliency, Determination and Inclusivity.
Argyle ISD employees are nominated for the award and will be recognized each month. The winner receives a $100 Amazon gift card and the program is sponsored by our Eagle Partners.
As she was being honored in the classroom, Dr. Wright read a few comments from those who nominated her.
"Lisa is unfailingly patient, kind and always works to include all the students in her class in all activities whether inside the classroom or outside regardless of their individual needs and skill levels. She believes in serving the students in her class to the best of her ability and displays a dogged sense of integrity in how she approaches working with each student and in how she treats her students. She is extremely collaborative in working with the aides in her room as well as with specialists and school staff. We're very lucky to have her on our campus."
"Mrs. Schreck promotes inclusivity to all of her students. It is only November and her group has grown and come so far. She adapts to new students and diversity that she faces. She is always working so hard and is determined to see growth in her kiddos. She shows resiliency when she faces a tough day and always does it with a smile on her face. I love working down the hall from her and watching her work her magic with the ESCE students."
