Assessment, Testing & Logistics # 9
Announcement from the Department of Assessment 9/27/2023
URGENT!!! REPORT CARD FINDINGS
All Schools Impacted (K-8, HIGH SCHOOL, AND YEAR-ROUND)
NEW!
Conditions for Learning Survey (CFL)
Just wanted to send a reminder that the fall Conditions for Learning survey window will be opened from October 2-27th 2023, to adjust for our year-long schools. Please, please, please, note that you cannot start administering surveys until Monday, October 2nd. Any surveys completed before that date will not count.
Attached are the typical test coordinator materials and assigned and unassigned passwords. Please note that we will be receiving the unassigned business cards tomorrow and will have them available to network leaders by Thursday for distribution to schools. However, if you do not receive the business cards in time, schools may use the unassigned electronic unassigned password, but as you see in the instructions, that business cards are a better approach, and the electronic versions are there as a back-up.
Assigned Passwords---students you have login in information that they use to enter survey.
Unassigned passwords---students that do not have an assigned password, so you select one from list. But please keep track because they cannot be duplicated. The password is 1234 to enter a unassigned password for survey administration.
For questions and/or concerns, please contact: christopher.broughton@clevelandmetroschools.org

Missing Demographics - School Secretaries
Students must have all sections of Race / Ethnicity completed in the Demographics tab in PowerSchool. The attached document lists students by school who need demographics corrected. Also see the attached screenshot which illustrates where the fields can be found.
NEW!
Missing SSID File - School Secretaries/Principals
Attached is an updated list of students who are missing their state ID (SSID). This prevents them from being loaded into testing portals. Please review this list and share any students from your school with the building enrollment specialist. Typically, the cause for a missing SSID is a missing birth city or missing ethnicity in PowerSchool. Also, please share the attached document with instructions on how to update demographics in PowerSchool.

Early Learning Assessment
Fall Dates: 9/1/23 thru 11/14/23
ATTN: Pre-K Educators
The Early Learning Assessment is a state-mandated assessment for all pre-K students. The assessment is designed to aid teachers in determining where children are in their readiness for kindergarten. It consists of 72 individual questions and CMSD & ODE both only require 24 priority SKBs. For more info about the ELA, please click this link!
Data is entered directly into the KReady system by properly trained educators. Educators must be trained before they can give any KReady assessments; please contact Richard.A.Buehner@clevelandmetroschools.org ASAP if your building does not have a trained educator.
Students must be scheduled to their educator to show up within the KReady system. For pre-k students, scholars should be enrolled in an Early Education - (Half/Full) Day course in Powerschool with the correct educator. Failure to complete this step will prevent educators from reporting their assessment results.
