From the Principal’s Desk
Dear Shiloh Families,
We kicked off our month-long celebration in honor of Black History Month this week. Attached are a list of ways that we are Honoring Heroes who made significant contributions to American history.
Shiloh Middle School continues to shine! Two of our phenomenal teachers, Ms. Pritchett, Ms. Brew and their students were filmed this week as a part of Legos International program for STEM initiatives in schools. We were one of two GCPS schools to be selected for this great opportunity to showcase how STEM instruction is delivered in a Physical Science and a Robotics and Engineering classroom. As a result, our school will receive $5000 of Legos instructional supplies to promote STEM initiatives.
We celebrated our phenomenal Counseling Department this week for National Counselor's Week. Ms. Sorayel Willoughby(6th grade counselor), Ms. Nicole Carrington(7th grade counselor) and Ms. Shaquila Wise(8th grade counselor) are always supporting our teachers, students and families and we are thankful for their commitment to excellence!
Looking Ahead:
Student/Teacher Holiday-February 12(No School)
Teacher Professional Development Day-February 15(No School for students)
Early Release Conferences-February 17 and February 18(please check your emails to sign up with your child's teachers)
Thank you for your continued support!
Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Williams
