Navigation Notes
Happy November Westside Families! Thank you for helping our Explorers dress up and learn about drug prevention during our Red Ribbon Week! Be sure to check out our Facebook Page for all of the photos.
With Halloween on Monday, we are asking parents to prohibit students bringing candy to school and in their lunch boxes this week. Please keep candies and treats at home for students to enjoy! Additionally, be sure attire for Monday is school appropriate and students are able to still participate in recess and PE.
Don't forget we have our Family Science Exploration Night this Thursday, 11/3, from 5:00-7:00pm. See details below.
Last Tuesday, the School Board approved their plan to make up the instructional minutes from Hurricane Ian. BPS will be extending the first semester by two additional days after winter break and extending 4 Fridays to FULL days. Those Fridays are:
- November 4th (This Friday)-Dismissal at 2:30p!!
- November 18th
- December 2nd
- January 6th
Do you or or family own a business and want to partner with Westside? If so, please email Tara Schwarz at Schwarz.Tara@BrevardSchools.org. We would love to work together to improve our community and school!
As always, thank you for your support! Our office will be open Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-3:30PM. Please come on in if we can assist you in any way.

At this time, we must follow the parameters listed below per BPS guidelines:
- This opportunity will only be available on Fridays.
- Only adults on the approved pick-up list for a child will be allowed to have lunch with students. You will need to present your photo ID at the front office and receive a visitor's tag. When done, you must sign out before leaving campus.

- Adults will only be allowed to eat lunch with THEIR child and we request only two adults per child please.
- Adults who are not registered volunteers will be monitored by school staff at all times.

If you have multiple children and want to have lunch with all of them, you must wait for additional lunch times in the front office, glass booth, or your vehicle.
