Principal's Point
This year scholars in grades 3-5 will pilot our house system (think Harry Potter), a way to systematically give every scholar a place to belong and feel supported, encourage academic achievement and positive behavior, and increase collaboration between scholars and staff. We will extend the house system to scholars in younger grades at a later time. Because we are the Timberwolves, our houses will be packs instead! Packs will earn points in a variety of ways and packs with the most points have the chance to earn special rewards. I am excited about the positive impact this new initiative will have on our already amazing campus!
Let's make this another great week!

August Lunch Menu
Visitors
Lunch Visitors
Parents may eat lunch with their scholars beginning August 23rd. This allows us to teach and rehearse cafeteria expectations and procedures before we have guests. Please note that teachers/staff on duty in the cafeteria are monitoring scholars and will not be able to have parent conferences when you visit for lunch. Please schedule a meeting with your scholar's teacher during their conference time to discuss scholar's progress.
Guidelines
- Every visitor must check in at the front office and receive a visitor's badge to enter the main building.
- Visitors may not roam around the building for any reason.
- If you visit and then decide to check your child(ren) out for the day, return to the front office and sign him/her out with the receptionist. She will call the classroom and ask the teacher to send them to the office to go home for the day.
Volunteers and Field Trip
If you would like to volunteer at TE or chaperone a field trip, please visit the Humble ISD website to complete an application. Please note that volunteers are asked to assist wherever help is needed and may not be asked to volunteer in their child's classroom. Volunteers may not visit their scholar's classroom unless that is where they are assisting.
YMCA After School Care
The Lake Houston YMCA provides after school care in the TE Cafeteria until 6:30 p.m. every day.
Parents register and pay directly with the YMCA. Please view the flyer below to get information on the YMCA After School Program.Dress Code

Teach your child to tie his/her jacket around his/her waist when outside, rather than laying it on the ground. Due to COVID-19, scholars may not dig through a bin of lost & found items.
Keep a jacket/sweater in your child's backpack. Classrooms can get chilly!
Birthday Recognitions
Parents are permitted to recognize a child’s birthday by sending treats for the child’s homeroom class to enjoy after lunch. Birthday party invitations may not be distributed.
Parents are encouraged to buy frozen treats from our cafeteria for all students in the class to recognize their child’s birthday.
If you do choose to send in treats, please check with the teacher first regarding any allergies in the class. Send in one store-bought treat per child.
The following items are NOT allowed at TE to recognize birthdays: balloons, goodie bags, gifts, candles, flowers, party hats, homemade treats, etc.
The cost is $5 to recognize your scholar’s birthday on the marquee.
