Parent Pick-up/Drop-off Reminders
During the first week of September an email was sent out in regards to expectations of our parent pick-up/drop-off and other parking lot helpful hints. The document for reference can be found below. I encourage you to revisit often. Please share with anyone that is going to be picking up your student.
B.O.L.D. Day Reminders
BOLD (Bomber Online Learning Day) refers to a school day for teachers and students to communicate online or have set up prior learning expectations. On a BOLD day, each student's teacher must be accessible both online and by telephone during normal school hours. A BOLD day is an extension of student learning. BOLD days will allow our students to work from home, avoiding future make-up days.
We have had our fair share of bad weather and its only the middle of January. Please continue to communicate with your child's teacher if you have questions in regards to your students expectations during a B.O.L.D day. Teachers are doing a great job of making B.O.L.D day learning as engaging as possible with clear expectations. While it is a challenge to re-create the classroom learning they have when at school, I am proud of the work teachers and students are doing. As a staff, we will continue to revisit and update what is expected of students to make the learning as impactful as we are able. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

Attendance Matters
Every day our secretaries are spending a considerable amount of time attempting to reach out to families of absent students, please make every effort to call the office if your child will be absent from school. If you do not call the school the absence is marked unexcused. We absolutely have to have contact from the parents about absences. You can email the school at eloffice@cf.k12.mn.us or call 507-263-6800 option 4.
Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school AND themselves. Start building this habit early (PK or kindergarten) so they learn that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in all areas of their life.
Safety and Security
At this time of year, parents are no longer able to walk their child INTO the school building at the beginning of the day. This is only done during the first couple weeks of the school year. A students independence grows so much when they get an opportunity to walk into the building by themselves. You may walk them up to their designated door. Please drop off any items that your child needs for their day in the main office and we will get it to them.
Emergency Drills
Staff shortages- How can you help?
District Transportation
Please remember to call Alison Godfrey for bus pass approval if your child has a transportation change. Our routes are full so Alison needs to approve any changes to the routes ahead of time.
