Principal's Message

We made it through the first week of school and it was a success! Thank you, parents, for your support in getting your students to us ready to learn each day!

Please join us Tuesday evening for our Back to School Parent Information Night! We will begin at 6:00 and will meet in the gym. We will have introductions and I will go over information about school-wide procedures and changes, such as our Golden Ticket, Eagles Nests, and much more. At 6:20, you will be dismissed to go to one child's classroom to hear about classroom expectations. Then, if you have 2 children here, you will go to the next child's classroom at 6:40. If you have a 3rd child here, you will have time to stop by that classroom and pick up any info that teacher may have and meet/greet the teacher. Here is the overall schedule for Tuesday evening.

  • 6:00-6:20 All parents meet in the gym

  • 6:25-6:40 Parents at their first child's class

  • 6:45-7:00 Parents at their second child's class

  • 7:05-7:15 Parents at their third child's class

We look forward to seeing all of you here at GRE on Tuesday evening! This is a parent-only event.

The First Day of School was a SUCCESS!

From the counselor

BLAS Food Program

The Basehor-Linwood Assistance Services (BLAS) team is providing a food program for families in need. Students who are signed up for the ‘BackPack’ program will receive a weekly bag with a variety of food inside. BLAS will deliver the ‘BackPacks’ to your child’s school towards the end of each week to be distributed by school staff into the child’s backpack. This program is funded solely through donations and the number of participants is limited based on the donations received. There are no costs to participate in the program for the child, parent/guardian, or school. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact the counselor, Mrs. Zimmerschied. You can send an email to jzimmerschied@usd458.org or call the school line at 913-724-3536 ext. 1403.
