The Bobcat
Week of October 29, 2018
Vision: Academic Excellence and Success
From Mr. R's Desk
Professional reminder in regards to Supervision...
- Teachers may not leave the classroom unattended while students are present.
- If an emergency arises which requires that a teacher leave the classroom, notify the office immediately and someone will come to supervise your students while you are away.
- Students are to remain in their scheduled class period, unless a pass is issued by the teacher. Students will not be allowed in the hallways without a hall pass. Do not allow multiple students to be out and about. We need students in classrooms learning.
- Students may not leave the classroom the first or last 15 minutes of instructional time.
- The classroom teacher is responsible for students assigned to his/her class.
- We need all teachers standing by their door during the passing of periods.
Teachers and Staff...please make every effort to be present daily. Every teacher/staff absence is felt across the campus, especially in regards to discipline [not to mention the loss of instructional time]. NOTE: Fridays and Mondays are our worse days. Those are the days that we need 100% attendance. Please notify Mr. R. as soon as you know you will be out but no later than 7 am of that day.
Teachers...please review your failure list. Contact should be made with any parent whose child receives a grade lower than a 70. Your contact log should mirror your failure list. NOTE: The end of the 2nd 6 Weeks is Friday, November 9, 2018. Please ensure that you are posting grades on a weekly basis.

#ThoughtForTheDay Sometimes I think when we put so much empahasis on improving instruction we lose sight of what really matters. Rather than focus on teaching maybe instead we should focus on learning...via #Culturize @casas_jimmy
