Roots of Judaism

Judaism

4000 years ago most people believed that there were many Gods that controlled things. Polytheism is when a religion believes in many Gods. Judaism was written down in a series of books called The Torah. A man named Abram was sent a message by God to spread the word that there is only one God. Abram also convinced his family to start worshiping God not idols.

Judaism Holidays

Another Judaism holiday is Bat Mitvah ( takes place when a girl turns thirteen).

A Jewish Sabbath begins at Sundown on Friday and last until sunset on Saturday.
