Mustang Tech Tips!
With the holidays around the corner, we should all still be careful of our use of tech! Here are a few tips to prevent from devices ruining your holiday!
#1: Be a good role model
Since our kids tend to notice if we are doing as we say, we have to be sure that during the holidays. If we find ourselves spending too much time surfing through social media while the kids are around, it might be beneficial for everyone to have a digital detox for the Holidays!
#2: Don't forget about digital footprints
Kids and teens will most likely want to share holiday photos in their social media accounts. We just have to remind them that anything shared online cannot be easily removed or deleted. Taking a picture of this years holiday fruitcake might be great for a laugh now, but future fruitcake related employers may not find it so funny.
#3: Ensure your safety setting
Before wrapping the newest tech gifts for your kids, its OK to open the gifts and see how they work. This will ensure you get rid of generic passwords and disable anything you don't want on like cameras or location tracking. If your not sure how to do this, there's a fantastic site online with step by step instructions on how to do so!
