Monday Memo
Oct. 30, 2018
THANK YOU
Thank you for all of your extra time during conference week. It looks like we've had a great turn out as I determine percentages. I know if gets easy to focus on those that don't show up, but try to remember all of the parents that did make it a point to talk to you! You had an awesome chance to build a relationship with many families last week, and you should be proud of that!
Happy Halloween
Let's celebrate this festive (crazy) day with jeans and Halloween shirts!! And, enjoy leaving at 3:15 so you can spend time with your own little monsters! :)
Math RTI
Please prepare to switch to math RTI groups on Nov. 13. This should give your grade level time to look at math data and visit with Emily if needed to help plan concentrated groups.
PLC for Nov. 5
Our PLC for Nov. 5 will emphasize getting out into the building to watch some great engagement, assessment, relationships, or management techniques! Please be prepared to have your doors open and guests in your classroom for about 15-20 minutes. And, please be prepared to get out into classrooms as well!
HHS Volleyball Bearcats
The Spirit Leaders invite all classes to send off our volleyball players as they head to the state playoffs this week Thursday!! Coach Speckhals will be driving the bus (quickly) and will head east down 8th St like the buses do at dismissal. The bus plans to leave the high school at 8:15. We should plan to head out at 8:20 if we want to cheer the team on! At times, classes or students have made little posters during their free time! (a great indoor recess activity if it rains this week!) I realize that you have lots of instructional plans, and it may not work for every class. That's ok! Erica has lots of pom poms to share and the whole Spirit Leader group has made some awesome posters! (Spirit Leaders also plan to make a brief video to share with our cross country athletes competing this weekend!) I know that the girls loved it last year! And this year just in case anyone wants to know, my favorite player wears #11! Proud mom moment! :)
Also, you all probably should know that I plan to leave the building close to 11:00 on Thursday and will not be in the building on Friday morning. I plan to enjoy every second of this weekend as a mom! Keri and the office staff will take good care of everyone while I am out. Please note that Keri will not be in the building on Monday and Tuesday next week.
