Mr. Jon Pree
My name is Jon Pree and I am 43 years old. My wife, Lauren, and I live in Morton with our three beautiful children. Braeden is 13, Jordyn is 5, and Logan is 3. I grew up in Gridley, Illinois which is a small town about an hour from here and I absolutely loved it. I graduated from Gridley in 1992.
After many years of working different jobs that I simply did not enjoy, I decided to go back to school. One of my biggest regrets in life was not finishing college. I was going to get my degree so I could do what I've always wanted to do....TEACH! I have also coached baseball and basketball for my oldest for about 7 years now. I absolutely love coaching and working with kids. I knew that I wanted to be a teacher/coach more than anything else, so I quit my job and went back to school full time. I graduated from Illinois State University last December with a degree in Elementary Education!
Mrs. Ranae Pincock
My name is Ranae Pincock. I was born and raised in central Texas. I met my husband of 24 years while he was stationed at Ft. Hood. We moved to Illinois with our two children (at the time) when he was discharged from the Army and found employment in Illinois with Caterpillar. Since that we have added 5 more children to our family for a total of seven. Two are college graduates working as an archivist librarian and computer engineer. Two more are in college (junior and freshman) while two are in high school (junior and freshman) and the youngest is in fourth grade. I went back to school to finish my teaching degree after staying at home for 17 years. I graduated from Illinois State in May 2014. For three years, I taught a self-contained fifth grade. I am excited to make a switch and teach science -- my favorite subject! When I am not busy with my family or teaching, I volunteer. I am cub scout den leader and camp director as well as co-chairman for my children's school Love of Reading night and help coordinate that annual activity. I enjoy being outdoors fishing or gardening if it isn't too hot or inside with my nose stuck in a book if it is.
Ms. Jessica Pettett
My name is Jessica Pettett and I graduated from Bradley University in May. This will be my first year teaching. I am very excited to begin a new program at Pleasant Hill Grade School to help students better meet their needs. My fiance and I just bought a house and will be getting married next summer. In my spare time I love to twirl baton, watch netflix, and visit with friends and family. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to join the Pleasant Hill Family this school year and can not wait to meet my students and their families!
Reminders
- Students may enter the building at 7:30 each day for breakfast. They should arrive no earlier than 7:20.
- First load bus riders will be dismissed at 2:45 daily to board buses. Walker/car riders will be dismissed at 2:50 after the first buses leave. Please remember if you are picking up your child that you must remain in your car, follow the line, and Ms. Whelan or Mrs. Griffin will bring your child out to you.
- If there is a change in dismissal for your child, the school office must receive a note by 9:00 AM stating those changes (i.e. If your child is riding the bus home with a friend, you and the parent of the friend will need to write a note stating that change and have your child turn it into the office first thing in the morning). We work hard to keep dismissal procedures consistent for the safety of all students. Therefore, changes should be kept to a minimum. Daily changes to dismissal procedures will NOT be accepted through phone calls, only through hand-written notes.
- If your child is absent from school, it is very important that you call the school to report the absence. Students who are absent 3 or more consecutive days will be required a doctor's note to get back into school.
