SAGE (Supporting and Advocating for Gifted Education)
We had a great time at Gifted Pathways and enjoyed listening to Lisa Van Gemert, the Gifted Guru. Think about visiting her website, as she has great insights into parenting and teaching gifted children!

1ST GRADE - CONTRIBUTION
Students in First Grade have been learning about coding using the DASH robots. They have been engaged in If/Then thinking, as well as experiencing what it means to be persistent and trouble-shoot when the commands aren't working. They also continued to think creatively with the Paper Clip Drawstart. They practiced Fluency and Flexibility of thought with coming up with 8 different ideas, as well as experimenting with perspective on the page.
2ND GRADE - SYSTEMS
Second graders finished their study of It's Extinct. They completed their Doceris and will do a Galley walk this week.
3RD GRADE - POWER
Third graders have continued to love our study of flight...from airplanes, physics, and helicopters. We may have some future engineers and pilots among us.
4TH GRADE - EXPLORATION
Fourth graders have finished their Monuments of Me, as well as describing the symbols and the traits they chose.
5TH GRADE - CHANGE
Fifth Graders made persuasive proposals on issues they chose to tackle. They had to consider their audience, show positives and negatives, and propose why their idea is the best fit.
