Workshop # 603229 - Participants will review content and prepare for the TExES ESL Supplemental Exam.
June 20 - Teaching Social Studies to ELLs
Workshop # 603039 - Day 1 of the ELL Summer Series will feature Nancy Motley presenting engaging accommodations for ELLs in the secondary social studies classroom. Participants will receive Tina Beene's book "Teaching Social Studies to ELLs".
June 21 - Strategies for Teaching Refugee and Newcomers
Workshop # - 603058 - Day 2 of the ELL Summer Series will feature Dr. Michelle Yzquierdo presenting effective ideas for working with refugee and newcomer students. Participants will receive the manual "Texas Student Refugee Framework".
June 22 - Strategies for Teaching Math to ELLs
Workshop # 603057 - Day 3 of the ELL Summer Series will feature Beatrice Moore-Luchin presenting effective strategies for differentiating math instruction for ELLs.
June 27 & 28 - BTLPT Review Course
Workshop # 604448 - Participants will join Dr. Patricia Morales to review materials and practice for their bilingual certification test.
June 28 - Title III Family Engagement - Fresh Ideas
Workshop # 614140 - Participants will be presented with a variety of parent involvement strategies and ideas to fulfill the requirements of the Title III Grant.

July 25-26 - Title III Symposium - Austin
The 2017 Title III Symposium will be held July 25-26 at the Austin Convention Center in downtown Austin. All Title III public school district, charter school, and education service center (ESC) education professionals are invited to attend.
July 27 - Bilingual / ESL Institute
This all day event will offer professional development opportunities related to instructional strategies designed to increase academic achievement of ELLs. Our featured keynote, Cheryl Urow will address "Teaching for Biliteracy".
August 1 - Early-Bird LPAC (Returning Coordinators) AM
Workshop # 603233 - This half day AM session (9:00 - 12:00) will cover updates to the guidelines of the LPAC process for experienced coordinators.

August 29 - New Director/Coordinator Bootcamp - Day 1
Workshop # 603234 - This is day one of a four day cohort for new Bilingual/ESL Directors/Campus Coordinators. During this session, participants will gain an understanding of the LPAC Framework Manual and discuss other beginning of the year topics.
August 30 - LPAC Training (Returning Coordinators) - AM
Workshop # 603235 - This half day AM session (9:00 - 12:00) will cover updates to the guidelines of the LPAC process for experienced coordinators.
