Wow, time flies! it seems like just yesterday we were wishing you a wonderful holiday break and now we are so excited to welcome you back! Our hope is that each of you feel fresh, rejuvenated, and ready to tackle the Spring '16 semester.

LEADERSHIP CHALLENGED!
1/16/15 | 10am-2:30pm | Owl Cove | 4.5 leadership hours
How do you get other people to WANT to follow you, to move toward a COMMON PURPOSE, to feel ENERGIZED to work together and get things done that everyone can feel PROUD of?
Join the Office of Leadership Development and Collegiate EmPowerment for the Student Leadership Challenge Experience.
Learn how to use the skills in the seminar to be a leader on campus and in the community. Participate in small and large group conversations, high-energy activities and walk away with tools and resources to improve your leadership style.
JANUARY WORKSHOPS
Leadership 101 Workshop
Leadership development is crucial to achieving success during college. Join the Office of Leadership Development for food, fun, and facts on the five Ws – who, what, when, where and why – to getting the resources you need to empower others through leadership. By the end of the one-hour session, students will feel excited and empowered to take action on campus. This event is open to all Temple students.
This workshop is being offered on the following dates and times! Participants will receive 1 Leadership hour

Leadership Lunch and Learn

In honor of National Mentoring Month, we will explore the opportunities and benefits of being a mentor and having a mentor.
If you find yourself asking: What is mentoring? How do I find one? How can I become a mentor? Then this is a Lunch and Learn you don't want to miss!
Special guests: Associate Director of Student Activites, Veronica Moore, and LLC Peer Mentor, Mack Caruso
Can You Afford To Be A Leader?
1/28/16 | 3-4pm | Student Center Room 223 | 1 leadership hour
Bills, tuition, food, venue fees, etc.. These are all expense that we may encounter in our daily lives. Efficiently managing our finances to cover those costs can be intimidating. By attending this workshop you will learn the tools necessary for successfully managing your money. You won't want to miss this!

Enjoy a complimentary movie and concessions with your friends and other peer leaders! Afterward, students will participate in an engaging discussion and review of the leadership concepts of the movie.

REGISTRATION IS LIVE: Inclusive Leadership Conference
On February 13, 2016, Temple University and Campus Philly will host a one-day leadership conference for ALL Philadelphia-area college students. The 2016 Inclusive Leadership Conference will give college students the chance to enhance their leadership knowledge and skills through presentations, workshops, dialogues, and panels on topics related to inclusive leadership and social change. This year’s conference will focus on the journey from student leader to civic leader.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Explore their personal leadership values.
- Share best practices in leading with ethics and inclusiveness.
- Learn about the collective impact theory and how it can be used to bring about positive social change.
- Walk away with strategies and tools to institute collaborative programming within their own campuses, the Philadelphia community, and our greater world.
