Week 12 - Canned Food Drive Begins
News This Week
Test Folders: Test folders wil come home Tuesday. We've had many absences, trips, and make up tests that need to be complete. I'm sorry for the delay. Please make sure you sign and return the folder.
Canned Food Drive: Each year we compete in a canned food drive. This year, the cans will be used in a design competition as well. Please send in canned food and dry goods this week and next. We have a goal of 1500 items for our school.
Flu Vaccinations: Forms for flu vaccinations at our school, November 17, went home today. This is for the flu mist. Please return the form by November 10 if you wish to participate. Students of BCBE employees cannot participate.
SGA: Information about Student Government Association elections will be sent home later this week. This is an optional activity for third grade students. Students will run for office and we hold a school-wide election. Keep an eye out for this information.
THANK YOU to the parents that planned and donated for our Glow Party. The kids had a ton of fun. Big shoutout to the families of Tony, Jaquise, Sam, and Tristan for all their contributions.

- Multiplication - continuing with skip counting, properties of 0 and 1, making groups
- Multiples of 5, 10, 7, and the distributive property
- Facts - begin practicing multiplication facts. 0, 1, 2, 5, and 10 should be an easy place to start. Then add 4, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9
Vocabulary
Vocabulary on our reading test will be context clues. Students need to know how to use the words in a sentence to figure out what the other words mean.

- We will continue informational writing this week and we are working on responding to questions in writing like the ones on our reading tests.
