K-1 - Mrs. Bates
...to those who are showing compassion at school each day, and (better yet) at home as well!
...to those kids who are learning handshake etiquette, table manners, and how to solve problems respectfully!
...to the students who not only complete their Bible verse activity each week, but also earn a gold star for saying it from memory!
Tips to keep in mind:
*Mornings outside are chilly in the fall. Bring a sweater every day.
*Bananas are a great snack. They are even better if the base of the stem is cut so the young'ins can open them themselves.
*A good night's sleep and a nutritious breakfast help us all think and feel better. Make sure everyone who goes to work or school gets both! Thanks!
5-8 - Mr. La Sage
We're also excited about the Milo Academy Sports Camp next Sunday through Tuesday. Most of the kids are attending.
6th grade outdoor school is also coming up. Five of our students are eligible to join other 6th graders from around the conference at Big Lake for four days of outdoor learning. Sounds like a great time.
We continue to emphasize the importance of believing we want to reflect Christ and not just saying it. We have talked about the importance of valuing all people, regardless of where or what they come from, using Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan women at the well as our inspiration. The hope is that each of our students internalizes how much we can change others' lives if we will live like Christ.
